What each product page documents

Every research compound has its own product page. Its specifications list, where they are known:

• Identifiers: synonym, CAS number, molecular formula, molecular weight and sequence.
• Appearance of the material as supplied.
• Purity specification: ≥99% (HPLC, supplier specification).
• Net content per vial for each presentation.
• Storage for the sealed vial.
• Certificate status: whether a certificate of analysis is published and, where it is not, that a batch certificate is available on request.

Where a value is not known for a compound, its row is left out rather than estimated. The glossary explains each of these terms.

The purity specification

The purity stated for each research compound is ≥99% (HPLC, supplier specification). The figure is our supplier's specification for the material, with HPLC as the stated method, and it appears with that basis wherever it is shown.

Where a certificate of analysis is published, it reports the analysing laboratory's own result for the sample it tested, as the document states it.

HPLC purity describes how much of the UV-absorbing material is the target peptide. It is a different measure from net peptide content, which also accounts for counter-ions and water. Certificates of analysis

• Certificate status shown on every product page.
• Certificates of analysis published in the COA Library where available.
• Batch certificate available on request.

We publish only certificates issued to British Peptide Labs or AODAEMON LTD. Each is described as the document states it: the issuer, the date, the methods and the batch, where one is given. A certificate relates only to the batch it names, where it names one.

Storage of sealed vials

Research compounds are supplied as a lyophilised powder in a sealed vial. For these compounds, each product page gives the storage for the sealed vial as: Store at 2–8 °C short term, or at −20 °C and below for long-term storage. Protect from light and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Packing and dispatch

Orders are packed and dispatched from the United Kingdom. Orders placed before 3pm Mon–Sat are packed the same working day and handed to Royal Mail Tracked 24.

Royal Mail Tracked 24 aims to deliver the next working day after dispatch; this is the carrier's target, not a guaranteed delivery date. Every order is tracked from dispatch to delivery.

Vials are supplied sealed. We deliver to addresses in the United Kingdom only. Delivery and returns are set out on our Shipping & Returns page.

What we do not claim

• No dosing, administration or reconstitution guidance. These compounds are supplied for in-vitro laboratory research only.
• No statement of what a compound does in a living organism. Our pages describe what each compound is: its identity, composition and analytical data.
• No testing claim or quality mark we cannot document. A certificate is described exactly as issued; where none is published, a batch certificate is available on request.
• No claim that each batch is tested by an independent laboratory. A published certificate covers the batch it names, where it names one.
